ABOUT MEGHAN
Meghan is an award-winning journalist and audio producer based in New York City.
Right now, Meghan is the Director of Audio & Digital Content at WFUV 90.7 FM, an NPR affiliate in the Bronx. She is the Executive Producer of the station’s weekly podcast, FUV Live Sessions, and she oversees all other creative non-music audio elements that run on air. She has also reported and produced two award-winning feature stories for WFUV: No More 24 and The Contribution.
She created and oversees the Student Audio Production program at WFUV, where she teaches undergraduate Fordham students the tenets of audio production and ethical journalism.
She has also worked extensively as a freelance journalist and audio producer. Her freelance work has been featured on podcasts by Auddy, PRX, Dow Jones, MarketWatch, Best Case Studios, BikerLass Productions, Midnight MPH and Evanston Rules. She recently worked on The Future of Healthcare AI for Auddy and Food, We Need to Talk for PRX.
She is the proud recipient of a Master’s Degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a dual degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Anthropology. Prior to pursuing journalism, she was a full-time musical theater performer. Ask her about all the animals she’s had to portray on stage – you won’t regret it.
She is based in Queens and has lived in New York for nearly 20 years.
Meghan recently got married and changed her name - if you’re looking for Meghan Offtermatt, you’re in the right place!
